• Budesonide (200 mcg) – a corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation.

• Formoterol fumarate (6 mcg) – a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the airway muscles and enhances airflow.

This combination helps prevent symptoms like wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing. It is a preventive treatment, not meant for immediate relief during an asthma attack.

How to Use:

BUDETROL 200 is generally available in capsule form for inhalation and must be used with a Rotahaler or similar dry powder inhaler device.

Instructions:

1. Insert one capsule into the inhaler chamber.

2. Twist the device to pierce the capsule.

3. Exhale completely away from the device.

4. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and inhale deeply and forcefully.

5. Hold your breath for a few seconds, then exhale slowly.

6. Discard the empty capsule.

7. Rinse your mouth with water to avoid oral thrush.

Use the medicine exactly as prescribed, typically twice daily.
