Description
FORACORT Junior Inhaler: Gentle & Effective Asthma Control for Children
Description:
FORACORT Junior Inhaler is specially formulated for children with asthma and contains a lower dose of medication suitable for pediatric use. It combines two active ingredients:
-
Budesonide (50 mcg) – a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways.
-
Formoterol fumarate (6 mcg) – a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles and improves airflow.
This inhaler is used as a maintenance therapy to help prevent asthma symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, and breathlessness. It is not intended for immediate relief during asthma attacks.
How to Use:
-
Shake the inhaler well before each use.
-
Let the child breathe out fully.
-
Place the mouthpiece in the child’s mouth and ensure a proper seal.
-
Press the canister while the child inhales slowly and deeply.
-
Hold the breath for about 5 seconds, then exhale gently.
-
Wait 30 seconds if a second dose is prescribed, then repeat.
-
Rinse the mouth with water after use to reduce the risk of oral thrush.
Children may need assistance from a parent or a spacer device for effective use. Use the inhaler daily, exactly as prescribed.
