Description
BUDECORT 200 Inhaler: Inhaled Corticosteroid for Asthma & COPD Control
Description:
BUDECORT 200 Inhaler contains Budesonide 200 micrograms per actuation, a corticosteroid used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by reducing inflammation and swelling in the airways, making it easier to breathe. Regular use helps prevent symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and breathlessness. It is a preventive (maintenance) inhaler, not meant for quick relief during sudden asthma attacks.
How to Use:
-
Shake the inhaler well before use.
-
Breathe out fully.
-
Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, form a seal with your lips, and inhale deeply while pressing the canister to release the medication.
-
Hold your breath for 5–10 seconds, then exhale slowly.
-
If another puff is prescribed, wait 30 seconds and repeat.
-
Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after each use to prevent oral thrush (fungal infection).
Use the inhaler regularly at the same time(s) each day. Do not exceed the prescribed dose, and follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
